Giorgio Fumera - Research Director - Associate Professor
Giorgio Fumera (MSc 1997, PhD 2002) is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering of the University of Cagliari, and a member of the PRA Lab since 1999.
His research interests are related to statistical pattern recognition and machine learning, including ensemble methods, reliability of classification algorithms, and adversarial machine learning, with applications to computer vision for Intelligent video surveillance. He published more than one hundred papers on these topics.
He is Associate Editor for the Pattern Recognition journal (Elsevier) and the Pattern Analysis and Appications journal (Springer). He regularly serves as a PC member and as a reviewer for several international conferences and journals in the pattern recognition and machine learning fields. He is a member of IEEE, IAPR and AIxIA.
