Jie Gao - PhD Student

Jie Gao, born in 1998 in Shanxi, China, received her Master's degree in Signal and Information Processing from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2020.
Since 2020, she has continued to pursue her Ph.D. degree in Electronic Science and Technology at Northwestern Polytechnical University.

In 2022, she participated in the joint doctoral training program of the University of Cagliari, Italy. Currently, she is also a PhD student at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE), at the University of Cagliari.

She conducts collaborative research in the Pattern Recognition and Application Laboratory (PRA Lab), under the guidance of Prof. Gian Luca Marcialis. Her main research interests include machine learning, biometric security, and large language models, such as Deepfake detection, Adversarial learning, and LLM.
